Vegan hot coconut drink

Hemsley + Hemsley’s low-sugar take on a bedtime drink is an indulgent night-time treat.


  • 2 tbsp carob (available from health food stores)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp almond extract
  • 1-2 tsp date syrup (available from delicatessens or online specialists) or maple syrup
  • 1-2 tsp maca powder (optional; available from health food stores)
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 400g tin full-fat coconut milk
