Tammy Abraham who was born Kevin Oghenetega Tamaraebi Bakumo-Abraham to his immigrant parents Mr and Mrs Tamaraebi Bukumo on October 2, 1997. Tammy is from a Nigerian descent, but his mother is British while his father is a Nigerian who migrated to England in search of greener pastures.
While growing up, young Tammy had a passion for acting. He used to find it exciting while acting, but gradually started developing interest in football. It didn’t take long before he joined the youth ranks of Chelsea academy having failed several trials with Arsenal.
Tammy was seen as great prospect in the academy, he gradually improved in his abilities and skills, so much so that he inspired his team to with 8 goals in 9 matches, in the UEFA Youth League ; he was named the tournament’s highest goal scorer. He also helped Chelsea youth team to claim the FA Youth Cup trophy during the 2015/2016 campaign.
His superb run of form which saw him bagged 74 goals in 98 appearances prompting the interim coach to invite him over to the first team to train with the senior team.
Tammy Abraham finally made his senior appearance for Chelsea in 2016 in an EPL match against Liverpool, coming up as a substitute. As there were other prolific forwards up the rank, Tammy Abraham was sent out on a loan to several clubs like; Bristol City (2016-2017), Swansea City (2017-2018), Aston Villa, where he helped them to gain promotion to the EPL in 2019. After his loan spell at Aston Villa ended, Tammy went back to Chelsea where he became a regular under Chelsea’s boss Lempard.
