Born on the 18th of June 1989 as Pierre-Emerick Emiliano François Aubameyang in Laval, France, to former player of Gabon national team Pierre Aubameyang and Margarita Aubameyang (mother); Aubameyang began showing interest in football at an early age, drawing inspiration from his father who was then working an Inter Milan scout.
Pierre-Emerick started his career as a senior club for the Italian club A.C. Milan, however, never appeared for the club as he completed a series of loan appearances in France. He moved to Saint-Étienne in 2011. There he won a Coupe de la Ligue title and moved to Borussia Dortmund in 2013. In Germany, Aubameyang finished the 2016/17 season as the top scorer in the league and won a DFB Cup. He is also the sixth highest scorer of all time. In 2018, Aubameyang was the subject of a football transfer from the club at the time when he was signed for Arsenal for a £ 56 million transfer.
