Joy has hosted many shows, including The Joy Behar Show and Joy Behar: Say Anything! Her most recent weekly late-night talk show was Late Night Joy, which aired on TLC in 2015.

Joy Behar announced her decision to leave The View on Thursday during a pre-taped episode.

However, Joy decided to stay at home as her daughter asked her to do so to keep herself safe from getting sick from the dangerous virus. She said, “I’m in a higher risk group because of my age, but I’m perfectly healthy.”

Although none of the members of the ABC daytime talk show have shown any symptoms of COVID-19.

Furthermore, Behar added saying, “I don’t look my age, but I’m up there. The number makes me dizzy.” She will not be on The View next week. Maybe after that, she will return.

Joy has worked in The View for more than 21 seasons. However, her contract ends, and she said, “I don’t see myself staying for more. That’s it!” She further said, “I could be wrong. If I’m as fabulous in 2022 as I am now, I’ll think about staying.”

Why Is Joy Behar Quitting The Show?

Joy Behar is quitting The show as her contract has ended after 21 seasons. She would stay if she was as fabulous as she is now, but the chances of it happening is minor.

As per Behar’s plan, she will leave the show before her 80th birthday. She took a leave during the show in the middle of March as there was a coronavirus pandemic.

Many of Joy’s co-hosts like Whoopi Goldberg, Meghan McCain, and Sunny Hostin started working from home as the pandemic was all over the place.

In addition, Joy and her team worked from home as recommended by experts during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. Broadway also announced that it would be shutting all the productions from April 12, which cost more than $100 million in a loss in ticket sales.

Joy Behar is not sick or ill. Her health update says that she is absolutely fine. However, the question started to arise after she announced her departure from The View show.

Behar is mostly known for taking up verbal blows from political fanatics on The View. But for the first time in 25 years, Behar faced an unexpected thing to which she said; “25 years that has never happened! Who do I sue?”

Talking about Joy’s career, she started in the early 1980s in show business as a receptionist and later a producer on Good Morning America. The talented lady was a stand-up comedian and had made many appearances on ABC’s Good Morning America and The New Show.

Furthermore, She has also hosted the show Live from Queens, which was a regular show on NBC’s Baby Boom. She also appeared in minor film roles, which include Cookie, and This Is My Life, and Manhattan Murder Mystery.
