Why Was Duane Brown Arrested: Duane Brown, a former Seattle Seahawks left tackle and a current free agent was arrested on Saturday, July 9, 2022, at Los Angeles International Airport on weapons charges. Brown was handcuffed and led out of the airport after allegedly attempting to pass through airport security with a gun in his luggage.

TSA found a firearm inside one of Brown’s bags, which was reportedly unloaded, according to airport officials. According to LAX airport police officer Lt. Karla Rodriguez, Brown was arrested and booked at the LAPD Pacific Jail.

However, According to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department records, Brown was later released on $10,000 bail.

Brown is regarded as one of the league’s best available free agents. The tackle has three All-Pro selections and five Pro Bowl appearances, including last season.

Brown was drafted with the 26th overall pick in the 2008 NFL Draft by the Houston Texans out of Virginia Tech. He spent nine and a half years in the AFC South before being traded to the Seahawks in the middle of the 2017 NFL season.
