Don Jazzy was born in Umuahia, Abia State in November 1982, Jazzy has his origin from Isoko in Delta State. His mother is an Igbo princess from Abia state and his father is an origin of the Isoko people in Delta State. His family moved to Ajegunle, Lagos where he was raised. He was educated at the co-educational high school, Federal Government College Lagos.
He started singing and playing drums at the age of 4 and bass guitar when he was 12 years old.
In 2000, Don Jazzy left Nigeria for London, His uncle invited him to play drums for a local church In London, Don Jazzy later gained employment at McDonald’s as a security guard. He continued his interest in music, associating with Solek, JJC, Kas, The 419 Squad and D’Banj.
He was the former CEO of “Mo’Hits” Records which was founded in 2004, He is currently the CEO of Mavin Records which he started in 2012.
He first signed the singer D’banj and produced his 2004 album No Long Thing in 2005. Jazzy has produced songs for artists such as Dr SID, D’Prince, Wande Coal, Naeto C, Darey, Sauce Kid, Tiwa Savage, and Ikechukwu.
