He was born Nurudeen Ademola Adeleke on the 13th of May, 1961 into the family of Ayoola Adeleke, a Muslim father and Nnenna Adeleke, an Igbo Christian mother in the present day Enugu State.
Ademola’s father, Late Senator Raji Ayoola Adeleke, was the Balogun of Ede land in Osun State. He was a politician who served as a senator in the second republic and worked alongside Chief Obafemi Awolowo, the premier of Western Nigeria.
